Frankly, I’m in awe that I can connect to you, the author of The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart by messaging here. I’ve just watched the series on Amazon as recommended in your post with Beth Kempton. I need to read all your books.
Your February note about deserving to communicate and connect in any way you need really resonates. I write to share my complex grief and trauma healing. I sometimes feel uncomfortable especially when it feels like I’m talking to an online void. However, I try to remind and reassure myself of just this. My writing connects me to myself and facilitates my healing journey which not only benefits me but also my children and important relationships. And that’s enough 💔❤️🩹❤️
I am new to Substack today, introduced to you through Beth Kempton, and what a heartwarming experience it has been. I look forward to getting to know your work and following your wisdom. My February note is to get to grips with this platform and find my tribe…it’s a privilege to meet you 🙏🏻
Hello Tracey! Thank you so much for being here, and for reading our words. I'm with you - still navigating and learning and exploring Substack, which feels like a new/different way to be online than the ways we've learned previously. I hope being here is an encouraging experience for you, and I'm honoured my words are with you.
That photograph. It truly captures the essence of Esther and becoming the wild wave so beautifully. I’m also getting all the tattoo inspiration. I just love it here. When the world feels heavy, I turn into Toni Morrison every time. I have since I was 10 years old when I first read Beloved. I have been marinating on there words, “I know the world is bruised and bleeding, and though it is important not to ignore its pain, it is also critical to refuse to succumb to its malevolence. Like failure, chaos contains information that can lead to knowledge-even wisdom. Like art.”
February for me is about allowing chaos to turn into knowledge, even wisdom. It’s to stand tall for justice, it’s to fight for a better future for my child and all children. It’s an invitation to wield creation for something we can all hold as we navigate these tumultuous waters.
Thank you for always being a light my angel friend. You mean the world to all of us.
I just love you being here. Thank you for your beautiful words, as ever, my dearest M. Aren't those words from TM eternally powerful. I hope your February is unfolding with moments of knowledge and even wisdom coming to you from the churn of the chaos. Holding creativity with you - our sparks are each other's sparks. Thank you for being here.
When I saw the comment about post it's and books.. I laughed so hard! That is EXACTLY what my books look like for the important things I want to remember! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Every page! ☺️☺️☺️

Great notes for February Tracey . I’m still planning to take the Substack course so very new to this platform .
Welcome, Deborah. Thanks for being here. Substack is new to me too, so we can learn together.
Thank you - feeling overwhelm already 😅
